Zions Bank launches speaker series aimed at inclusivity | Life in the valley


WISE – Zions Bank announced on June 14th the start of the Zions Community Speaker Series this Tuesday at noon. The virtual series aims to build inclusive cultures in the communities that Zions Bank serves.

In honor of Pride Month, the opening event will examine the personal, professional, and political experiences of members of the LGBTQIA + community. Scott Anderson, President and CEO of Zions Bank, will deliver a welcome address and Sui Lang L. Panoke, Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion will host the event. Panelists include Former Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski, Idaho Rep. John McCrostie, Equality Utah Executive Director Troy Williams, and Jackie Cole, Inclusion Champion for Zions Bank’s Idaho Resort Region. Chad Dilley, Senior Vice President and Chair of the LGBTQIA + Business Forum at Zions Bank, will moderate the discussion.

Zions Bank’s Community Speakers Series is part of the bank’s efforts for diversity, equity and inclusion, which include a DEI council, corporate forums for employees, regional champions for inclusion, a mental health initiative and a wide range of employee and community events belong. In addition, the bank recently launched a supplier diversity program aimed at bringing more diverse businesses into their supply chain, as well as a small business diversity banking program that gives small, ethnic minority, women and veteran businesses wider access to allow credit, credit and capital to grow.
