Romantic Airline offers Couples Mile High Club flights

Love is in the air when you book a flight with an airline in Las Vegas that offers “romantic” tours of the city at over 5,000 feet.

“Almost every single flight ends in utter happiness,” said Anthony Blake, pilot and co-owner of Love Cloud Vegas, said BuzzFeed News in this week. “People say they had the best sex of their life. Weeks later, they are still talking about it.”

Blake’s business partner Andrew Johnson started Love Cloud eight years ago, but the company was inactive due to the pandemic and didn’t fully reopen until earlier this year.

“We basically rebuilt the company five months ago and it’s been doing so well since then,” said Blake.

Three Flight packages are currently available, according to the company’s website: a “Romantic Dinner Flight”, a “Wedding and Renewal Flight” and a “Mile High Club Flight”.

Flights vary in length from 45 minutes to 90 minutes, and extras such as a limo to and from the plane, champagne, and roses can be added at an additional cost.

Day fliers get an overhead tour of Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Meade, and the Las Vegas Strip, while night tours simply fly over the city.

Most of the flyers on Love Cloud are couples who have been together for several years, Blake told Buzzfeed.

“Ninety percent of these flights are totally romantic love stories,” he said. “We even had a suggestion.”

The other 10 percent of flights are a little less romantic, he said, and the airline has welcomed groups like swingers clubs before.

A Survey 2018 of more than 11,000 people in the US and UK on dating sites found a large percentage of people interested in joining the Mile High Club, but few actually did.

Only about 5 percent of those surveyed had sex on the plane, 78 percent said they hadn’t but would like to. Around 17 percent said they were not interested at all.
