Real Salt Lake announce contract with Utah Youth Soccer Association

SALT LAKE CITY — Real Salt Lake (RSL) and the Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) announced they have reached an agreement to provide approximately 60,000 players, their families, clubs and coaches access to game cards, tuition, mentorship and other benefits to be granted with RSL, the Real Monarchs and the club’s facilities Herriman and Sandy.

“Throughout our 18-year history, the youth football community has been the foundation of much of our collective success,” said RSL President John Kimball. “Our UYSA partnership is simply unparalleled within MLS and to now know that each and every one of these youth players, their families and their coaches have access to every facet of our organization week in and week out is inspiring.”

RSL and the UYSA will also collaborate on various community events in 2022, including hosting the UYSA State Cup Championship games at Zions Bank Stadium and hosting Olympic Development Program (ODP) training sessions at America First Field in Sandy.

“We are excited to be working with RSL to provide a ticket for all of our players and we know this partnership will create lifelong RSL fans,” said Bryan Attridge, UYSA Chief Executive Officer. “We have worked with Real Salt Lake for years. We couldn’t be more excited about the club’s future and are grateful that our players are being given this incredible access. We believe every player in this state should have the opportunity to attend an RSL game every year.”

RSL will now host their home game against Seattle this Saturday, March 5th, with a 4pm kick-off. Meanwhile, the UYSA starts its season on March 19th.
