Let’s check wing stop!
Wingstop is a national chicken wing chain founded in 1994 in Garland, TX. They began franchising in 1997 and today have over 1,250 locations across the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
There are three locations in Wichita, 7324 W. Taft St., 2095 W. 21st St., and the one we visited for this review, 2548 S. Seneca St.
The Wingstop menu consists primarily of boneless and bone-in wings, sauces and sides. The kids had a request for Wingstop so I figured this would give me a reason to visit one of their newest locations.
The kids prefer boneless wings, which I don’t particularly like but caved in because it was their choice. Wingstop had two different specials going. Twenty boneless wings for $15.99 and 16 wings and 6 tenders for $23.99. We ordered a variety of different flavors and sides like spiced fries and roasted Cajun corn.
The kids mostly enjoyed the wings. I found them quite soggy. Our fries were not seasoned at all, and they left out all of our Cajun fried corn. We tried calling to go back and get them but they didn’t answer. And an email sent to their website about order issues received no response whatsoever.
My experience with Wingstop was very lackluster, in part due to the lack of food, soggy wings, and boring fries. Next time the kids ask about Wingstop, I’ll try to get them somewhere else.
