SALT LAKE CITY – Devin Lloyd, former Utah Utes and current linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, recorded his first career interception in a win over the Indianapolis Colts.

The Jaguars hosted the Colts on Sunday, September 18 at TIAA Bank Field.

At 4:33 in the fourth quarter, the Jaguars defensive line put pressure on Colts quarterback Matt Ryan before deflecting a pass.

The ball sailed down the middle of the field and into Lloyd’s arms. The linebacker returned the ball 13 yards.

It was Lloyd’s first interception of his career and it came in his second game.

At the time of Lloyd’s selection, the Jaguars held a 24-0 lead.

Jacksonville held onto the 24-point win. The Jaguars have not lost to the Colts at home since 2014.

Lloyd finished the game with a team-high six tackles, three solo tackles, three pass breakups and a team-high interception. Last week, he had 11 total tackles and eight solo tackles in Lloyd’s first NFL game.

Jacksonville improved to a 1-1 record this season with a win over Indianapolis.

The Jaguars’ next game is Sunday, September 25 at 2:05 p.m. MT against the Los Angeles Chargers.
